The Canon LP-E6 Dummy Battery Adaptor allows the user to power the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 7D or 60D camera from an external broadcast DC battery source.
Now prominently used in HD recording and time-lapse photography, these cameras can now be powered from V-Lock and other types of DC batteries. The advantages of using a single high capacity battery over dozens of standard Canon LP-E6 batteries is the obvious longer battery life and shooting time.

• Built-in decoded protection chip
• Uses low voltage power input 7.4V-8.4V, unlike other non-decoded DC couplers which run on high voltage input 16V to bypass the camera protection system
• Ideal match with our V-Mount Powered Breakout Boxes (Power Distributors)
Instructions:
• Before inserting the DC Coupler (dummy battery) in the camera plug the DC Coupler to the DC power source. This will allow the camera to power up and recognise the DC Coupler's decoding chip.
• Insert the DC Coupler (dummy battery) into the camera and turn on the power switch.
